Their hair Sprays are in aerosol cans, these may have propellants containing hydrocarbons which contribute to global warming.
CFC-free aerosols too emit the volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which affect the ozone and the environment.
Brand aerosol products are not sold in the EU (as they are not compliant with EU standards)

Though brand is making a considerable effort to reduce waste, it should be noted that, Propellants in aerosol cans are highly flammable and can cause explosions and start fires. Empty aerosol cans are considered as hazardous waste in the USA and many countries.

Brand is launching a new in-salon recycling program with Green Circle Salons.
They provide take back box packaging at their salon and ensure that the returned empty is given another life.

The Davines Village is carbon neutral. In factories and offices, they use electricity and thermal energy (biomethane) from renewable sources. These inexhaustible sources of energy do not emit CO2, do not pollute, and are constantly renewed. Every product they formulate, design and produce is manufactured using clean energy.

This is a bit of a grey area. Though brand claims to be committed to being cruelty free with no animal testing at any stage of production or marketing.
This is because it manufactures within China for China. The problem is that there is no surety on the transparency of raw materials used and sourced in China. There can be no guarantee that the raw materials were not tested at any stage of production nor can the brand guarantee that their products may or may not be subject to animal testing at any time if authorities in China deem it necessary (and they can do this without any prior notice).
