Though Parent brand claims to be a responsible sourcer, ingredients used in some products are not earth friendly.
Some products contain P.E.Gs, Dioxolane, Siloxanes, Silicones, Deedmac, Acrylate Copolymer*

*not clear if this is water soluble or a micro plastic, we have asked the brand for clarity

Some of the major concerns about the chemical ingredients used in laundry detergents include toxicity to aquatic organisms and algae, Persistence in the environment
Eutrophication of fresh water, particularly by phosphate-based detergents (now, phosphates have been replaced by zeolites which may be alleviating this problem).
Further, it can make the wash water acidic, and depending on where that water runs to, it could impact the environment, having effects similar to acid rain.

Parent Brand has announced participation with Terracycle™ – in some countries to collect and recycle their waste.
However, Post-consumer collection of packaging components is not available in all areas where products are sold.
In developing and third world countries all waste & plastic ends up in landfills.
