recycle material

Brand uses glass, metal & plastics for most product packaging.

This is what the brand has to say about their plastic content, "IDUN Minerals product packaging consists mostly of plastic in order to protect the clean and gentle formula. It is therefore important that the empty product packaging is sorted and recycled correctly in order to become a new packaging. Most IDUN Minerals packaging should be sorted as plastic, such as the powder products (Mineral Powder Foundation, 2-in-1 Pressed Powder and Foundation), concealers, mascaras, lip products (excl. Lipstick), eyeliners and Brush Cleaner"
.
The tubes in their skincare line are made from sugarcane and can be recycled as plastic and their 2-in-1 Pressed Powder and Foundation is made from 100 % PCR plastic.

This is their recycling policy, listed on their website.

Brush Cleaner needs to be completely empty when recycled, otherwise, it should be sorted as hazardous waste.

The hair- and skincare packaging should also be sorted as plastic except for the Refreshing Dry Shampoo.

Glass Packaging
The bottles of the Liquid Foundations, Nail Oil and Oil Serum are made of colourless glass and should be sorted as glass packaging.

Metal Packaging
The Refreshing Dry Shampoo is made of metal and should be emptied before recycling and then sorted as metal packaging.

Combustible
The packaging for Pressed Powder, Duo Concealer, Pressed Blush, Bronzer, Highlighter, Eyeshadow, Lipstick, and Makeup Brushes consist of a combination of materials such as glass, metal, wood and plastic and should hence be sorted as combustible.

Hazardous Waste
Nail Polish and Nail Care should be sorted as hazardous waste. Brush Cleaner and Refreshing Dry Shampoo should be sorted as hazardous waste in case there is product left in the bottle.

It should be noted, that most makeup plastics are difficult to recycle.
So it is always good when brands accept back their empties for sterilizing and recycling and when they offer refills.

IDUN Minerals is cruelty free.
